 John T. Alexander II, M.D., J.D., F.A.C.S.
Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Dr. Alexander II continues a tradition of excellence in plastic surgery, having learned first hand the techniques and systems developed by his father to achieve consistently superb results. In addition, he stays current with the most recent advances in cosmetic plastic surgery and anti-aging medicine, broadening the scope of cosmetic treatments available to his patients.
BIO
 He received his Medical Degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, one of the countries first medical schools, and then had five years of intensive general surgery training at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, serving as chief resident in 1993-1994. There he was one of two residents honored “Outstanding Teacher” by the Whitehead Society. After becoming Board Certified in General Surgery, Dr. Alexander attended the University of California San Francisco, one of the premiere Plastic Surgery programs in the United States. There he completed two additional years of residency training in Plastic Surgery. Dr. Alexander is double board certified in Surgery and Plastic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. In 1996 Dr. Alexander joined his father’s surgical practice in San Diego. By incorporating innovative new techniques and business practices he was able to double the practice within three years. In 1998 he created Energenex,TM one of California’s first anti-aging clinics, and in 1999 he became a Diplomate of the newly formed Board of Anti-aging Medicine. Dr. Alexander specializes in facial rejuvenation, and was the first surgeon in California to perform the QuickLift,™ a revolutionary surgical procedure that takes years off the face with less downtime than traditional facelifts. He is a specialist in chemical peels and laser surgery and was selected to author the chapter "Facial Resurfacing" in Plastic Surgery, the premiere textbook of the specialty. He also specializes in facial cancer reconstruction and endoscopic, minimally-invasive procedures, publishing his own original research about endoscopic plastic surgery. He lectures in medical forums and has presented his results at both national and international surgical meetings. In 2004, Dr. Alexander enrolled in California Western School of Law and received his Juris Doctor degree in three years, going to school part-time while maintaining a full-time surgical practice and continuing to see thousands of patients each year. He was on the Dean’s List for four terms and received an Academic Achievement Award in six courses. Dr. Alexander’s chief goal in obtaining a law degree was to help physicians better understand the law and more easily navigate legal waters. He is a member of the California Bar and practices law part time. Dr. Alexander II is active in professional associations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, and the San Diego County Medical Society. His interests include art, music, writing, and he is an instument-rated pilot. He and his wife of eighteen years have two children.

John T. Alexander, M.D.
Dr. John T. Alexander has been in practice for over forty years. He has enjoyed an exceptional reputation by consistently providing his patients with excellent, natural looking results. He is a leader in San Diego in facial plastic surgery, having performed more of these procedures than any other surgeon in the area.
BIO
 Dr. Alexander graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. His general surgery training was completed at White Memorial Hospital in Los Angeles and Mercy Hospital in San Diego. He trained in Plastic Surgery for two years in Houston, Texas at the world-renowned Cronin and Brauer Clinic, the most prestigious training program in the country. Dr. Alexander has served as a clinical instructor in the Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of California, San Diego. His extra time is spent in church and performing community service, such as serving on the school board, which he did for twenty years. He and his wife Linda recently served pro bono for 20 months in the Philippines as the Area Medical Director for the Philippines Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They have eleven children and 30 grandchildren.
